  1. Very informative presentation, especially the "increase in the retention rate". I am sure that is why many students are much more motivated and engaged when they experience technology integration in the classroom, as opposed to handouts and textbooks.

  2. I enjoyed "meeting" you last night! Thank you for your comments and feedback on my presentation.

Your presentation was very researched based. It encouraged me to play a spelling game that involved repition and competion today before our spelling test! I needed the reminder from the bar graph about how important game based learning is for retaining information. It makes learning much more engaging and meaningful, especailly to our young learners. Great job!

  4. I too was also able to better understand and appreciate the effective of utilizing games when learning. The chart concerning the attention rate regarding traditional setting vs. games was enough motivation to get me to try to utilize more games to learn in my own classroom.

  6. Charlotte, this was a great presentation. Game based learning is a strategy that should be utilized in classroom instruction. This is particularly great for visual as well as auditory learners. Great speaking voice too, very clear and engaging!

Your presentation provided the viewer with a tremendous amount of information, well researched and presented. Someties, I think as educators we forget the importance of utilizing games within the curriculum. Games can enhance learning and increase student interaction. If kids perceive learning to be fun, they might actually learn more.

  8. Charlotte,

It was a joy to meet with you on Skype last week! I truly appreciate your feedback. I totally enjoyed your presentation; I found it very refreshing, informative, and extremely interesting. I try to make learning in my 6th grade classroom fun and engaging. However, I sometimes find myself lecturing. I know my students hear, "Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah." Watching your presentation has reminded me that my students need games in order for retention to occur. Like I said in our conference, I want to go back to school and play games all day! (In moderation, of course!)

    Excellent presentation!
